The Place du Carrousel ( French pronunciation: [plas dy kaʁuzɛl]) is a public square in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, located at the open end of the courtyard of the Louvre Palace, a space occupied, prior to 1883, by the Tuileries Palace.

This review rates Le Carrousel somewhere between 3-4 stars. My lovely bride and I shared the chocolate-almond croissant and a croque monsieur. The croissant was a little heavy but very flavorful. We shared the croque monsieur, which was prepared perfectly, although the bread was less than we hoped for. Excellent black coffee and fresh orange juice.

I had the Duck Confit which fell of the bones and it came with fantastic fried potatoes. My wife had the croque madame which was just ok. I don't know why the french don't put the cheese in the middle as well to make it more juicy, but oh well."
